The Alzheimer’s Association has issued a list of the 10 warning signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. An affected person may display one or more of these symptoms in varying degrees.

  1. Memory loss is disrupting daily life
  2. Challenges in planning or executing a plan or work with numbers
  3. Difficulty in completing familiar tasks
  4. Confusion with time and or places
  5. Trouble understanding visual images and spatial relationships
  6. New problems with words in speaking or writing
  7. Misplacing things and losing the ability to retrace steps
  8. Decreased or poor judgment
  9. Withdrawal from work or social activities
  10. Change of personality or mood swings
